Hello Hello,
Flashguns have had a very busy week. Free clothes always a good thing but shoes is even better. Here’s a picture of our choice of Sneaker!
FREEBOKS!!! BUOFF!

After that we did a little practicing, brushing up on some old songs and writing some new ones. Saw Tom Beard and Metronomy, which is always nice. Here are some shots of us our rehearsing:
MID SONG FELLATIoooooh yeah!!!

During rehearsal we mostly just do posing…

Like this…

This seems to happen a lot when we play near windows…
It may have something to do with God and stuff but we’re not entirely sure…

Our car got smahsed into by some goons at Camden Crawl, they got away with a pedal bag and a snare. Good for them, although not a very good haul to be honest.. Everything is replaced and new now.
Autoglass said this was the latest in window technology, just in from Taiwan. We are not convinced..

We played Levis on Thursday, free clothes again, and then drove down to Gatwick that night. We slept in the car for all of about 2 hours and got up at 4 to catch a flight to Amsterdam.
We arrived in Amsterdam to find it had been the Queens birthday the night before so we were the only ones awake at 8 in the morning, the streets were covered in rubbish and smelt like piss from heavy partying the night before. Paradiso turned out to be an amazing night, not just because of the obvious attractions of Amsterdam (transvestite hookers of course) but also because the venue was an old church…..
You can watch our set from Paradiso here:

The Joy Formidable and The Noisettes played very good live sets and we hope you enjoyed our set just as much. We went about the town finally gettting to sleep at about 3. We woke up at 8, to get a taxi back to Schipol.
We landed at Gatwick and were straight back in the car up to Leeds. However we got stuck in some major traffick jam and had some fun on the M25.
Samuel: “My amp is not going on the roof!!”
Olly Wrong: “FINE…” (see below for eventual outcome)

Got to Leeds late played a different show. Met some very nice fans who kindly offered to model our XS Flashguns T-shirts…
Leeds Finest!

Left Leeds at 12 at night and drove down to Birmingham where we got to our hotel at 2 in the morning all very bleary eyed.

We met a very nice man who claimed he had caught a number of STD’s during the Cold War and now spent his remaining days on the streets of Birmingham.
Here are his medals>

Woke up in Birmingham at 2 in the afternoon feeling decadent, went out and got some pizza at Pizza ExpressTM:
YUM Flashguns wholeheartedly endorse Diet CokeTM!

This’ll teach the waiter to put anchovies on James Wright’s pizza…
“ANCHOVIES?!!!”

Read some Magazines:

Then went to go and watch a film, we had some time on our hands, X-Men Wolverine, highly underated i think the verdict was.
Here is the lovely lass who sold us popcorn and American Hard Gums at extortionate prices. Damn Odeon price discrimination!

The Birmingham show was all very good, met some nice people and created one hell of a raw sound, apologies to those at the front. After that it was on our way home. Here are some random photos from along the way:

Free T-shirt to anyone who can guess who’s eyes these are.
